Just Converted to 2.4GHz

(1/1)

Alan_Perse:
Hi All,
Just converted my Multiplex Cockpit MM Transmitter to 2.4GHz. I converted it using the Multiplex HFMx M-LINK Module. Apparently you can convert almost any Multiplex transmitter to 2.4Ghz with this module. It also came with a 5Ch receiver. All I need to do now is test it at the slope.
Here are some photos. Sorry if they look a bit out of focus, my camera phone is not very good in bad light conditions.

Here's some of what comes in the box

The module and receiver

Here is the module attached to the back of the transmitter. It connects to the transmitter via the Trainer/charge socket.

I've done something similar but different.
I got a second hand Royal EVO 12 and converted it to switchable 35Mhz/2.4GHz with an internal Jeti Duplex module. Gave it's first proper test with 2.4GHz last week at Mt. Leinster. No problems!

Thats great. Hopefully there will be no problems when I give mine a go. The module I'm using is also switchable between 35MHz and 2.4GHz.

Hi guys
just want to share this with you
not sure if its a horror story as such
about 3 years ago got a 2.4gig spektrum
module for my jr 9x 35 meg radio as a cheapish
upgrade plus i love my 9x and didnt want to get rid
of it . There is synth module in the back of the radio
so it was literally plug n play. Trouble is when i was trying
to connect with the 2.4 r\x it was never instant (unlike
my mates genuine dedicated 2.4 radio)
But as time went on the time it took to connect got
longer and longer until i had to switch on the radio
and t/x a couple of times before she'd connect
unitl last sat . Was at the flying field . Flying around.
Just doin circuits , all of a sudden lost control
and the plane nose dived straight into the ground
fortunately it is fixable , and was  a well worn ugly
stick . I reckon the problem is to me os that taking
the module in and out between 35 and 2.5 put some
wear on the pin connexions until finally she didnt
make contact with the module . So i have been thinking
about getting another module but as they say once
bitten twice shy . So im going to have to get a
dedicated 2.4 radio . So long story short if you have
these modules , leave them in
