Hey Anthony,
Actually, would you have some wind breakers jackets (?) or something like that? :?:
We talked about that at the slope the other day.. When we see guys coming to see us at the slope, they all have the full club gears etc etc.. When us.. Well... :P
What about we design something, put that on some gears? Maybe not something very specific to us, but maybe more Slope Soaring / gliding in Ireland in general?
Anyone?
-
Yes Fred
I would like a few polo shirts and a jacket of some kind, with a gliderireland or Islandmodels or even Islandslope Rebels!
I am sure we could design a nice logo. The t-shirts we got done a few years ago, with the various answers to glider questions on the back, where great, Anthony did a fantastic job with these.

On a rather boring Sunday morning here are the best slogans I can think of
Let nature give you a lift….Gliding, the civilized way to fly
================
If silence is golden, Gliding is priceless
Ireland Slope Rebels; Model gliding at it’s best
================
Up, up and away… Ireland Slope Rebels, flying high on the wind!
================
Gliding; the silence comes free, so does the lift. Ireland Slope Rebels
===================
Well, they seemed like a good idea at the time. Might go back to bed now
-
Got wind? Fly a glider!
:)
Ok, still early, barely had my coffee!

Engines are for Girls :) :)

Ok, asked the big boss (aka, the wife), and she likes the last 3 :D
Kind of agree (for once  ).
I'll try to do a few more later

Hmmmm,…….I think what style of image you use depends on what you want the item of clothing to express. :?:
All of your suggestions so far Fred are based on a cryptic silhouette. To those in the gliding fraternity the picture could probably be “worked out” in the viewer’s head. However, bearing in mind that when printed on clothing the picture could be folded or wrinkled, (unless it’s being pulled tight by a large tummy :P ,) those images might be rather harder to make out. :?
It must be said that you are the only person to offer any images at all, so fair play to you for that Fred, but I think an image that is a little easier to for the ’un-initiated’ to recognize at first glance would be better,…….They’re my thoughts anyway.
Like I said, I s’pose it depends who your ‘audience’ is intended to be.

That makes sense keith .. Only we would know what it is
-
Maybe if the glider was coloured in ???
-
Howdy,
Good points!
So, I just performed a scientific experiment, and did the 3 and 5 years old test :D
They did recognised the gliders on the pictures first shot (although, they can't name them! I am ashamed of them! :P )
In my mind, I tried to keep it simple.
I also have the GliderIreland logo I made a few years back, but I was looking for something more "general" (you can see it on the GliderIreland website front page).
Anyway, keep the ideas coming!
:D
-
Yeah fred I think you should use the forum logo :D
-
Sorry for not getting back sooner had the in-laws over and work was very hectic of late.
Nice designs Fred.
I am just finalising some designs and garments will upload them soonest!!!
-
Thanks Anthony :D
John kindly cut a bunch of stickers for cars etc. We applied them over the week end, and I have to say, they do look good! :D
Here's one of the GliderIreland on my car (sorry, don't have the photos of the others)

Looks great!
-
Is there one for "everyone one in the audience" ?? Where's ours :D :D
-
They were available for all who attended 1 away meeting this year! :D
-
-
Yeah, harsh rules :D
You need to drive at least an hour to an event to be entitled to a cool sticker :D
By the way, any more designs etc etc?
-
and driving around mount leinster a few times does not count!
See you all friday
-

-
But I get scared if I have to drive long distances! (I might pee my pants :( ………Again  )
Couldn’t I qualify for a sticker on the basis of old age. Oh PLEASE let me have a sticker. I’ll promise not to annoy anyone for a hole year if you let me have one!
(Believe that and you’re a fool. )
-
Does traveling in a B-757, A321 and with Fred entitle you to a sticker?
-
:?: might count.
I check with the Sticker Committee (yeah, we have one. 43 members, 14 auditors, 3 high court judges. Tough crowd!)
-
Sounds about right!
