Yes - looks light.  Always a bad sign when you have to wipe the dust off your gliders!

Was in Edinburgh just before Christmas and popped into the Royal Scottish Museum on passing as I knew they had a Slingsby Gull on display  - very beautiful and well worth a look.

Yes - we fly through the winter from Kilakee.  Weather permitting of course so in reality there can be long gaps in activity. We try and meet 2-2.30 Saturday afternoons at the car park on the Featherbed.  Speaking of which - this coming Saturday looks promising.

Looks famiiar Ralph!   The only tricky bit in the build is aligning the four wing bolts with their retaining nuts in the fuselage - just fiddly.

Looks great Alan - I have a big roll of sheet lead.  I will lop some off for you in the morning and bring it down. My X-Res is nearly finished but uncovered so I am a few weeks off a test flight.

Misc / Re: Epoxy Laminating Resin.

I normally use Viking Marine at the Pavilion, Marine Rd, DĂșn Laoghaire who stock West system epoxy kits.  Check the use by date before you buy. The 101 kit cost about 25 euro last time I bought there and it is grand for most small laminating jobs.

Recently bought Natural Oratex from https://www.oracover.de/ to cover my Slingsby Gull. Very happy with it.

Great paintwork Fred - very crisp.  Where did you get the tape? Cool the way you can curve it.

Looks great Alan. Glad it flies well.  I have an X-RES waiting its turn next up on the building board - trying to get the Singsby Gull finished first though but hopefully get on to it by the end of the year.  Perhaps we can have some F3-RES competitions next season if we can get a few more people to build them.  Seems a good option for accessible thermal flying with a wide range of kits available now. See https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?2696827-F3-RES-Resources those of you who are tempted.

I was also building a tailplane today - this one belongs to a 1/4 scale Slingsby Gull.  Wings (in the background) and fuselage are well advanced.
