Title: new to slope
Post by: DennisZ on May 15, 2008, 13:53:17 PM
Hi Slope Rebels,

just curious if <this (http://www.jperkinsdistribution.co.uk/detail.php?JPNO=5500292&activepage=1&Navmain=Aircraft%20-%20ARTF%20&subcatname=ARTF%20-%20JP) > plane will suit for the slope ?
Mine does not have neither floats nor wheels and has brushless setup...
My biggest worry is about "soft cover" - I guess, "landing strip" on a slope will not be that smooth as field at Phoenix ...

Btw, is anyone going to be on Killakee slopes this Sunday (18/05) ?

Regards,
Dennis

I also have Mutiplex FunJet ... couple guys at field have advised me to bring her to the slope ...

Hi Dennis,

Well, quick answer... This plane will definitively not be the best for the slope !
But everything can be flown, so that will fly, but look elsewhere for performance and handling at the slope !
Small rudder will not help you to turn ( propeller help as that blow air to the rudder / elevator... in a glider, only speed will make them efficient.. or you will need to enlarge the area...)

For the funjet, that will be possible in a good dynamic condition !  :D

Might be in Keelakee on sunday, Weather permitting of course !  :D
