Ok, that one is for the long run!
I finally managed to put my hand on an Arcus (well, I really wanted a Duo Discus, but eh :) ).
Made in France, near Bordeaux and the kit has been a few months in the making until I finally managed to collect it in November. You should have seen the look at Customs :)
WS is 6.7m and fuselage barely fit in the car.
Foam wing with fibreglass skin with Airbrakes, flaps etc.
Still a bit of work to be done, but minimal when you see the glider.
Add servos (13 of them)
Landing gears
Paint fuselage
Cover wings
So hopefully, will be ready next year as soon as I manage to make room in the workshop!

Wow!!!
-
I don't know Bill, is he compensating for something????
-
Maybe being homeless very shortly Ralph and needing something to live in?
-
No compensating :)
I like extremes, I love equally tiny gliders :)
On a side note... Wife still haven't seen that one yet! So she still like me 8)

RACHEL!!!!
-
NNNOOOO!!!!!!! :'(
-
Wow. How did you keep that one a secret! Nice model.

:-* :-*

Alright, decent weather yesterday. Put that thing together to weight it as I need to start planning for servos etc etc.
14.5kgs, so not too bad at all. I should hit the 19kgs target ( light setup), but we’ll see.
-
You'll need a bigger engine Ralph to tow that!
-
Na just use 2 or 3 tow planes
-
guessing Rachel took the girls out for the afternoon
-
She was bed sick :)
I am smart! :)
-
maybe, but how much did the bribes to the girls cost you!!
-
Sweets. They are easy to convince :)
-
;D ;D ;D
-
Very nice.
It's the same to JC Malandain??
-
Salut Erwan,
Je sais pas! Celui la vient du Sud Ouest :), mais pas Jean Claude.
Received my landing gear for the Arcus. What a beautiful piece of mechanic!!
Was looking for a FEMA, but could not get one anywhere. Then, I found that guy in Germany who does hand made ones for not much more than FEMA, but boy, that thing is a beauty! Brand is Wemo Ezfw in Germany.
All carbone with stainless steel and bronze movements, smooth as hell. Would deserve to be put on a wall as a art piece ( wife said no, I checked! :( ).
Took a couple of options like the rubber dampers and mountings, and the wheel arch.
Now, just needs to install it, but that’s another story!
-
Oh la la very nice Mr Fred
-
I just love it :) ️️
Compared to my fema ones, there is no comparison for maybe 20€ more.
-
Engineering porn!!
-
Very interested Fred in how you mount this. I have a retract for my L213 (still to be kitted out!) but I wasn't going to try to install it. Cutting the ope in the fuselage leaves me cold!!!!!
-
Kevin, Carefully.

Was just gluing the washers onto the bell crank for my Wasabi. Pics to follow. Glued two fingers to it!!!!!! Might not go cutting anything important today. Not my day 8)
