6 of us travelled from Ireland, 3 from the North and 3 from the South. We met in Dublin Airport with a mix of models ranging from the Ahi to the Lentus and Funray. Transportation of the boxes with models presented little issues with the airline and off to Munich we went.

A fabulous scenic drive from Munich to Austria and we arrived in Fiss, a small town nestled in the Alps.

The following morning we set off for the cable car for a 5 minute jaunt to the slope.
Due to a lack of wind most flyers needed the use of electric motors to fly including an alpine virgin from Cork who on his first attempt was less than successful not fully appreciating the lack of air at 2,500 meters above sea level. Thunder and lightning suspended play for the day and we retreated to the village for some well deserved R&R

I have more pics that I iwll post when we egt back. Aprt from a severe thunder storm the day after we arrived the weather has been in the high 20's/low 30's every day. Some cloud but still very warm. Been T shirts and shorts all the way with a couple of instances of needing a jacket. Been made very welcome and the bottle of Irish WHiskey we donated to the raffle went down very well. I'm not on the hill today as I hurt my hip and shoulder yesterday launching myself down the slope along with Richard's Funray !
