Title: Top Rippen Scale Gliders
Post by: Alan_Perse on October 23, 2012, 18:13:09 PM
Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with scale gliders from Top Rippen, https://ssl-id.de/www.rc-tronics-topp-rippin.de/Shop . They seem to have a good collection at reasonable prices. I do realise that they are not ARTF and will require a good bit of work to build them. I have my eye on the 3m Discus.

Hey Alan,

Had the Fox from them a while back.
Good cheap kits, but they need a bit of work.
Not RTF as such, but they worth the effort, and the hard work is pretty much all done, and most important, they fly very well.

On my Me163, lot of delay for production (about 3 month), wings are OK (good global quality, sheeting is OK, leading edges are glued and sanded) but fuselage was medium quality (parting line with gap, bubbles on gelcoat, few lacks of resin on glassfiber).

But prices are nice enough to get a 4m glider for a reasonable budget, for people who enjoy spending time in the workshop.

Which model do you wish to buy? ASW19 1/4 scale seems to be a good work base to build a 4-meter ASW20 or a C101 Pégase.

A+

Mat
