Title: Painting an Easy Glider

Hi All,

Has any one tried painting an easyglider before?

I wanted to get some advise before trying anything that might damage the foam, I'm thinking of standard car sprays from Halfords but..... don't want to wreck the body. Any advice?

Hi Stephen,
I learnt today that Tamiya paints  are okay for use on Elapor which is what The Multiplex Easy Glider is made of.

Any acrylic paint should do the job nicely better do a patch test first and leave for 5hrs if its okay after that its okay leave to dry at room temp.

p.s. halfords car paints dont use wrong chemicals.

Howdi,

Yep, Tamiya, Humbrol etc etc will work on EPO, Elapor, and even basic foam as they are acrylics, but you will need to protect the paint with varnish if you want a long lasting finish.

My P40, in EPO, was painted with Tamiya paint :

And my Formosa (basic foam) with Humbrol  :D

But Elapor will pretty much take any paint  :D
