Alright, time to talk about the zombie apocalypse!
Looks like we may have to wait a couple of years before the MACI communicate about the Covid-19 and aeromodelling in Ireland, so better to have our own sensible approach about the Coronavirus.
I don't think we have to go full blown paranoiac (but bring your own toilet paper!! ::) ) we are all adults, and I don't think we waited for this virus before we washed our hands :)
I have checked what other modelling bodies were doing, so here it is:
Outdoor meetings.
OK to up to 10 pilots.
Talk to each other crosswind, and of course, no kisses at the slope. I'd say, more than 10, we can do 2 groups of pilots as usually, we have plenty of space in our slopes.
We are sensible people, so you know what to do.
Indoor meetings
Advise is to cancel them
Note that all CIAM meetings are cancelled for the next month.
Anyway, I think this is sensible, so our slope meetings are going ahead, just follow the rules above. Of course, if outdoor gatherings of more then 100 people is reduced by the Government, we will have to review.

See you Saturday then

No kisses remember! :'(

DMFV are now advising a shut down of all model flying sites: BMFA is carry on as usual (stiff upper lip). Would help if there was some consistency

In light of recent events and to ensure the safety of our friends and family, All further events are postponed until further notice.
Please remember though I need to send in MACI subs next week so please arrange to do so asap.
Many thanks
The Committee

Hi all,
As of today, and following the Government guidelines, looks like a few of us are within slope distance :)
Still with the absence of any forms of communication with our governing body (as far I know. Received nothing :( ) please as of today, we are asking all our club members to follow the attached rules.
They are the basic guidance from the latest government communication for outdoor activities, but as usual, use your common sense :)
Can be printed and left at the car window while flying etc. I can print a bunch in A3 if you guys need.
Thanks to the Millau club in France and Gradimir.
