Attic clear out so have a few glider for sale.

U2 PSS as seen on here. Flies great with the new wings and tails. Built from scratch from a Paul Janssens plan. Super fast. Flies like a glider not a PSS.
Servos included. Needs half an hours work to get in the air.

Stella 1.8m V Tail full house light weight glider. fuse has been repaired and the wings have a good few small dings and bumps bit it still flies great. Also comes with an electric fuse including mega brushed motor and ESC. Probably have a lipo for it as well. all servos and battery included. Efuse has servos installed as well so it's easy to swap fuses.

Ok so bit of a workshop clearout goin on. I'm selling my U2. It's all scratch built from a Paul Janssens plan. http://www.pjmodelclassics.be
New wings(RG14) and stabs built a couple of years ago which transformed the model. This thing goes well in lighter lift due to the wing area but get it into even medium lift and it's fast and stable. Bank and crank and it turns on a euro.

Thermal / Flat field / Supergee type DLG build

So after the bones of a year off gliders I returned to the workshop. I started to make a plug for a Quark 2m fuselage then found a bunch of materials I bought for another project and decided 1. Fred's quark is perfectly fine the way it is as a built up kit and 2. to start building some DLGs :lol:

Design is standard Drela Supergee type affair.

Cut two set of cores on Friday. Took a few goes to get the file and the settings right but am fairly happy with the results.

Hot off the cnc

Trimmed, shaped and sanded

Packed the otherhalf and small one off to Engerland for a few days this morning so plan is to get stuck in and have them in the bag by this evening.

For Sale / Race M 3 metre F3F glider.

Race M 3metre F3F glider. Comes with wing, tail and fuse bags.

It was originally put together by one of UK's top F3F pilots before I owned it, hence the quality of the installation is excellent. The wing auto-mates to the fuselage loom by way of DB9 connectors and the model comes supplied with Multiplex Polo Digi4’s in the fuselage and Hitec 5125mg servos in the wing. The battery pack is a Sanyo Eneloop and is one year old. The model comes supplied with ballast set along with all the necessary spacers.

The model has had a repair to one of the wingtips and a crack to the fuselage boom, but these were professionally remoulded by Tony Fu and hence the repairs are invisible. Detailed pictures of these spots are available upon request.

The model is very clean, and is in top condition. The RaceM is a classic F3F ship which is still highly competitive – in fact the UK Midlands Winter F3F League was won by a RaceM identical to this one this year. It was my first F3F ship and I would recommend it to anyone for either that, or just as a fantastic 3m sport model, as they are vice-free, strong, and are highly effective in both thermic air as well as 50mph plus with full ballast.

Model is supplied complete, just add rx.

This is a really nice glider. Have only flown it a handful of times. Thats one of the reasons i'm selling it. That and I have my eye on another toy!

Slope Soaring / DSing Mt Leinster

Moderate northerly wind today so I decided to spend a bit of time trying to DS the south side of nine stones with my Luna.
I did 7/8 climb outs followed by dives around the back. Started just dipping behind a little and worked my way down quite a bit. Basically no joy :!:
The Luna did wiggle a few times as if it was passing through the boundary layer but no real noticeable speed increase :cry: As I went farther and farther down the back I began to running out of steam and ended up landing on the backside most of my attempts. If I thought I was making any progress I would have stuck with it but, alas I got a bit bored after a while.
I have DSed a tiny little incline behind a coastal site near me with my Skua and seen it work but didn't really see that today.
It looks like the south side is not steep enough to make this work. I will try this side again with more wind.
Think your right Brian, flying round the north side in a southerly wind looks like the best bet. That way round has always looked a better option. I just thought it would work the way I tried today too! Maybe someone with more experience could get it working.
