We have had rain for this past week but its been around the 23c mark.
Our summer is anywhere from 28-33c, but we can do with the rain just look at the photo of me under tow it is brown.

You guys can come down anytime we might even find a model or three for to fly.

yes the K18 was short kit from sky bench in the US, and she thermals realy well I just love it.
We are starting to come into winter now but we still fly all the way through.
We have another meeting for May 16-17.
Winter for us we don't have any snow we just have frosts and rain.

Thanks Alan,
Sorry I can't say I got it from a guy in the south Island, and he got it from someone in OZ.
I have no wings. I'm going to bag a set  when I have cut a set, it will be a 5m ship.

Just a quick one I was asked what I fly etc.

I've been modeling from the age of 8 and i'm 58 in June.

I fly power but love gliders, I went to the US for DLG gliders for a comp in 2008.
I stuffed my sholder and can't do DLG anymore.

So into scale I love vintage best I do have some class ones.

I live in Hastings the east coast of the north island, 14k's from the sea but no good hills for slope so we do aero tow.

some photo's of some of my models.  A group photo of us all the little glider in the front is my ASK25 3.8m The glass one is a Kestrel the other is my ASK18 4m and the one that is bing built is a Jaskolka 4m also. Look at the site at the bottom.

Look at this site it's one of our tow meeting here at home.

Aerotow / Tow lines
« on: March 26, 2014, 07:24:44 AM »
Hi Andrew.
In NZ we use a builders line, up to 5m - 6m gliders, it has a bit of stretch we fine it's good you can get it in fluro so we can see if it's droped.
And for the big gliders  fishing nylon 80-100 lbs.
If you go in a full size glider  the line is not straight they all have a loop as the glider flys faster then the tow plane.
Your tow plane must have a good power.
We use the builders line on 1/4 up on the tow planes, up as in 120 cc cubs 1/3
