Hi Ralph,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm sure we've met at some time.
I used to be a member of Bandon Model Flying Club, in a different life  ;D
And a chap called Sean was a regular.
You see I'm very out of touch now.

One problem at the mo is my car is out of action, hopefully (fingers and toes crossed) back in action in two weeks time. NCT willing.

Something that concerns me a bit is the apparent lack of anyone doing anything on the model flying front.
OK, I know we've had, and still have, 'the sillyness' shall we call it.
But even so there seems to be a lack of chatter on this forum certainly.

Ron

Hello All,

I need some advice.
Please.
Due to personal circumstances that I won't bore you with, I've been out of the hobby for a few years.
But now just starting to get myself organised as it were.
I have now NO equipment of any sort. No radio, no models, and just a very few 'odds and sods' I've just found in a damp box in a corner of the leaking barn.
Probably no use at all.
So where to start?
I'm sure radios have moved on a bit in the last few years, so which one?
And a powered foam glider (like this one - https://www.modelflying.co.uk/fms-asw-17) might be a good start.
But what do you all think please?

Background:
Been flying, except for breaks, for more years than I care to think about.
Now live in West Cork, near Bantry.

ALL advice very welcome.

Thank you,
Ron
