Fred, have you looked at the ap wasp engine. Its a copy of the russian made norvel. Has throttle and silencer. I have the 1cc norvel in a control line model and and really impressed with it's performance.

Epoxy a wire around the bellcrank for peace of mind. Wood is best. Plastic becomes brittle with sunlight.

Hi Fred,
Been thinking about a QX7 for myself. The uncertainty I have is the choice of receivers as there are some cheepo ones made for quad racing etc. with I believe limited range and some more expensive ones. What receiver are you using and maybe report back on range etc.

What a great Sunday. Still fixing everything I broke, and that was everything I attempted to fly. My poor favourite little middle phase and the effin road (she will fly again). Hey Ralph, like the little Kawasaki, will fly soon.

Hey Danny, I sheeted the fin with 1/32 and with the rod it's plenty strong. It's a slow flyer anyway so not much stress. I just plug in the elevators which are a bit stiff and they hold ok only move out on landing. If they're loose rub a bit of impact adhesive on the rod to give a bit of grip.

Hi Danny,
Looking good. For the fin I cut a slot down the trailing edge and glued in a carbon rod that extends through the fuselage into a balsa block glued to the bottom fuse sheeting.
