Hi Andy,
Looking good, nice job on fuselage for first attempt at using glass.
Weather forecast for Wednesday afternoon and early evening is looking good for Killakee. Wind might be a little light but worth a trip up if forecast holds. I should be available unless work gets in the way.

Hi Fred
Yes I went up for a while about 4pm.
was quite windy I would guess about 20 -25 mph with stronger gusts.
I decided to maiden the AXLE and god you were right they are difficult to land. I was hoping that with the strong breeze it would land reasonably slow  but getting it down just increase the speed and I could not slow it down without climbing away once again. I found that it was very touchy on elevator but surprisingly tame on ailerons considering the wing twist.
I flew it for about 35 min and spent about 20 min trying to get it down. Eventually landed in one piece and decided to call it a day.
It was good to get out and blow the cobwebs off.

Hi Bill,
How is the Sabre coming along.
I have been hammering away at one too. Found similar issues with the fit of parts.
Maybe you should have used a proper hammer !
Mine is almost finished it is ready for flight and just needing registration numbers and some more detailing.
I went for a four servo wing and installed a servo in the fin to operate the rudder. A lot of work and I am now thinking that I should have kept it simple  and installed full span flaperons and fixed rudder as the installation became quite fiddly.
However I am pleased with the result.
