count me in  :D
time to prioritise.any planes that have not flown to date or are still being built are going to the bottom of the list.6 planes being readied now.should have something for most conditions.Axle is looking like it's not going to be ready though

got some painting done.all the white bits will be light blue/gray like the nose.need some dark paint for the canopy and rear turbines.probably do an inverted version of the top on the bottom.

brief test flight.was a bit windy.will try again tomorrow
this thing flys pretty good!.or should i say will fly pretty good.launch was uneventful.got someone to launch it over their head and away it went!.
first thing was it wanted to go straight up.trimmed it to fly level but, when full throttle is givin it wants to climb.so i have a thurst angle problem.it also wants to bank right with throttle.again a thrust issue.can be fixed by mixing elevator and aileron with throttle or by adjusting the thrust angle itself.will probably do both, using the mixing for fine tuning.

the power set-up seems to work well and its pretty quick in the air.

6x5.5 apc prop on a prop saver
mega 16/15/4  .not ideal.this motor works better with a gearbox swinging a big prop.which is what is was being used for.16/15/3 would be better
Jeti 40 ESC
3 Cell Hyperion LightStorm Lipo 20-30C. lots more power than older version (same as new Polyquest XP)

used P-Calchttp://brantuas.com/ezcalc/dma1.asp to work out power set-ups.amps, watts ,thrust ,efficiency.it's pretty good ballpark figure.

here's what it says for the above.kokam 2000 mah battery substituted for the hyperion(they don't have the hyperion)

will fly again tomorrow weather permitting.hope to get video too

hoping to have the Axle ready for Cork too.have done a bit of work on it since the above pictures.covered the wings, glassed the stab and rudder and made a new canopy.am away for ten days and left the pics that i had intended sticking up here at home
have heard great things about the Axle, this one has been sitting around in a box for a long time.now it's time has come.so lets hope  :?

ok here we go a bit more work done on the F-15

front and rear fuse sections together.center fuse fin is mounted.this holds motor mount, servo for elevator and the elevator control rod passes trough it.after lots of checking, holes were drilled and the elevator control rod was fitted.left elevator was glued on and control horns were positioned on the rod but not glued, yet!.servos were fitted.they were a push in fit, helped with a little glue for security.controls set up for elevator.motor, mount and mounting stick glued into position.

only problem is i don't think i have a folding prop of the right size.they all seem to be too big and will pull too much amps for the motor, esc, battery i have.will find something that works for a test flight!

not sure yet about a colour scheme.was thinking the usual grey military look.now i'm thinking a high visability scheme might be nice.blue or red.am prefering the red so far

more coming soon

actually liking the blue better now that i've looked at them together!
i think blue with the layout of the red scheme
