Yes it is ,the motor is a Steve Neu F3A which is similar to a Hacker C5013XL but a bit more powerful.

Slope Soaring / Quark 2M - Back to cutting innocent trees!

Thanks Andrew!

I have went with the carbon 10mm tubes, which I got today. The Aluminium tubes required epoxy for fixing ribs to much work and added weight to the wings. So hope to get back to the wings tomorrow night and over the weekend, and get it finished by the end of next week, fingers crossed.

I will have to contact Terry and see what he can do for us Andrew!

By the way Fred, look what I picked up today, two big sexy ladies */~# 'I mean glass fuselages'



Can't wait to get these big models onto the slope!

Hi Keith,
There I was thinking I was dealing with some 'tech heads' , ah well.
CTU ;customer test unit !.
As for the other more substantial question, you are correct you are a grumpy old ? and hasty too.
This is very complex to explain so I put in a link to Brenner's RCU thread where it is all laid out so even you can understand it.

Hi,
The last few for now anyway;





This was designed and built as a GP model.
I converted it to EP.
I cut the battery hatch out and repainted it having cut back the front to remove the right thrust and to increase the spinner size from 75mm to 82mm.
The Contra drive is made in the USA by a guy called Brenner Sharp.

We made contact with him in Sept 2010 and got CTU's in Mar 2011.
I have flown with it all this season and I am really enjoying my flying fight now thanks tho this.

About a week after you supply me with one of those 'beasts' if that is possible.
Cost agreed of course ??
That thing really gets my juices flowing.
Regardless I will get out to join you all in the near future.
I got very distracted by a new F3A project and getting our new flying site ready (250+hours).
Just about all done now.
Keith is helping with some photos so watch the F3A section.
