Picked this fuselage up at the weekend it's a 1/4 scale Slingsby Skylark 3B it's from the John Elliot plan and has a wing span of 177"
unfortunately it came with no wings but my plan is is to strip the paint off the fuselage, strip the tail and rudder and build a good set of wings and hopefully turn it into this

That's after i finish the K13 and Titan tow plane :lol: :lol:

stripped the tail and elevator this morning they were covered in solartex and it had been painted twice yellow then silver
the tailplane is 34" long so for transporting you would have to unscrew it every time so i'm thinking of putting a good mini servo or two mini servo's into the tail and this would make things a lot easier

started stripping the paint from the fuselage looks like there was three layers of paint red, yellow and white i'm not sure wither or not the white was a primer

fuselage all stripped, gave it a good clean with soap and water and wire wool to clean off all the paint remover
there's some areas that need filled so that'll be the next job and then i'm going to spray it with primer and rub it all down

hey Jumbo i'm trying to stay away from red and yellow so this is the first picture i seen of the Skylark

i've filled some of the bad spots on the fuselage then i'm for spraying it with a primer and then rub it all down before giving it the final coat will say it'll be after christmas before starting the wings
