Old gliders Bocian
« on: July 15, 2020, 19:57:47 PM »
I placed a bid on an auction of Old Gliders of Poland
I ended up buying a 3.5m Bocian short kit for reasonable money.
All parts are CNC cut from 1/8 plywood and plans are very basic
Just wondering if anybody on here has ever built an Old Gliders model
Struggling to find a build thread anywhere 😲

Hi Andrew. I got the Mucha Standard (1/4 scale) from Old Gliders, by auction as well. It came with a DVD with loads of build photos. Did you get a DVD with yours?

Hi Alan
Yea I've watched the dvd a couple of times now.
Didn't like the way everything is just threw into the box. I've gone through all the pieces and there have been a number damaged

Yea, took me ages to go through the parts. Had to look at the pictures to figure out where some of them were supposed to go. Mine seem to be on good condition.

I have the Pirat and the 4.5M Bocian RTF. They are nice models but are short kits in reality with poor quality control. They presume you can build and have a fair idea what is needed. The cd again only suggests a build plan.

I can cut you spars if you need and give them to JP next month.

Good luck

Ralph

Thanks Ralph
The parts that are broke are mainly fuselage forms and should glue back together when I come to build it and that's away off at the moment
I like to gather in as much info as I can on any of my models
Ralph does the wing have washout, dieheril and top and bottom airbrakes
Thanks 👍
