Guys,

I know it's a long shot, but the 2nd of May, we will have the visit of Michel Leroyer, from the Brest (France) club...

Yep, that Michel !  :D  Basically, The Brest club, is the home of VTPR, and they have designed some of the finnest aerobatic gliders you can find !
Excalibur, Sonic, Air100, Twister... You name it, that certainly come from that bunch of guys !  :D

Check out their website : http://www.brestaeromodelisme.com/wakka.php?wiki=PagePrincipale

Have a look at the video section.

So, Michel will bring a few machines with him to fly at Mt Leinster before heading West and fly in more slopes along the way.

Everybody welcome to come and join us  :D

More infos as soon as I have some  :D

I might try and go. I will have all my college assignments handed in by then so I will have some free time.
Going to have to find some gliders to fly though. The ruby was wrecked the last time I went to the Big L. Keith knows all about it  :) .
Might try and get my flying wing going again.

And the Pilatus ?  :?:

Unfortunataly No. I still have not had time to repair it. I'm spending all my time either with college work of building the K8. But I will be finished college at the end of May. So hope fully I can repair it then and finish of the K8 at the same time.

Alright, what is the plan for Saturday ?

So far, weather looks like the wind will be calm in the morning, picking up in the afternoon, but S - SW direction (don't care ! this time, I bring the Alpina up there !  :P )

So, what I would like to do is :
Aerotowing in the morning, beeing at the field early (9-10am) to have lots of flying, then, heading to Mt Leinster to fly with Michel Leroyer.

Any takers ?  :D

Hi Fred. Not sure about meeting you at the field for areotowing, but I'll try. But I should be at Mt Leinster all right. There is a possability I might have two gliders with me  :P . I have an old floater up in the attic that I am putting Ruby radio gear into. Just need to rebalance it and it should be ready to go.

Good stuff !
Just in case, I'll have some velcro to make tow hook for the floaters.

Dennis, the field is at Ferns, on the way to Mt Leinster, at the end of the motorway.

We can meet at Ferns if you want to join us ?

Keith, Joe ?

Okay Guys,...............I was going down to Cork on Saturday for their fly-in on Sunday but the wind is looking frighteningly light for me :(  So I may have to forego the pleasures of Ralph's mum's buns this time.

On that basis, Saturday morning is fine for aerotowing. I presume you want me to bring the Cessna Fred?

Dennis; The flying ground is just outside Ferns. It's run by the Model County Flying Club. You can find their web site .......  www.modelcountyflyingclub.com You'll find a map of how to get to their flying ground on it. Then in the afternoon just follow the other guys up to the Big L. :D

I've no idea if Joe can make it.

(Pitty about Ralphs mums cakes,.........bloody weather! )

Hi Peter,

Bungee, sound like a good idea too !  :D

Keith, Ok for the Cessna ? I'll bring a 12x6 for you.
I'll check my power train again on the Shark, hopefully, I should be able to tow as well (can't wait for the BigLift to be ready ! )

I'll bring my proper tow lines !

By the way, had Michel on the phone, and he should be at Bunclody/Ferns/Slope at around 2pm!

Right then.

Have a 12x6 prop on the Cessna now Fred, but bring another if you would,.....just in case
I'll fix up a hook to fit round the wing joiner and protrude out the top of the wing. (Save using tape, as before)

Lets hope for plenty of therms. There were two big ones at the Flight Ground when I last flew there. I was watching the birds circulating on them :)
