The tounntine gazette

Hi lads,

A good night had by all on tounntine last night. One of our regular Shannon club flying sessions on the hill. I kept the ISR side represented, it's a tough job but somebody has to do it :)  Four of us flying. Huge lift. 20+mph winds from the south west. We were out on SW point. (My Favourite). :D

Here's the pics....

We got setup, note the windsock!! You could fly a brick in that lift....if you had a brick.
Models were Declans new FlyFly Salto, My Fox, Ger's ASK18, Phil's Teakle HP18. A good selection considering the howling gale.

Get the new Salto ready

So on with the flying.... Ger launching Declans brand new Salto. This thing flew amazingly well. Really Fast. Flew on rails and the smile on Decs face all night said it all.

Get the HP18 out there!!!

Oops the camera man is not as quick as the model.. :(

Got it this time...

So I launched Ger's ASK18 and that got the 3 lads flying. Looks like ger flew into the sun there. Not a good idea. Hang on!!! I am the only one not getting a flight here... Too busy taking photos... So that means I have to launch and fly the fox myself while taking photos of it.....ahmmmm :?:

Magic!!! It is launched and on a fly by... How did that happen??? :?

This starts a flyby for the camera competition...

Now that is just showing off...

What a great night... :D  :D  :D  :D  :D

At least we walk towards our crashes and not run screaming from them ;)

Yes, yes, yes, this is all very well. But who won the Combat! :D

In the forth picture Declan looks like he's plane has just crashed   (I hope it didn't,..............did it?)

There are some quite large models there, very impressive! Glad you guys are keeping your "fingers in". (If you'll pardon the expression  )

Great to have the long evenings isn't it, if only there wasn't so much rain about. Oh well, grin and bare it................

Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Looks like most of you belong to the “Big Bird” club. There are some very large wingspans in those pictures. Very nice pictures, some are quite dramatic. 8)

Don’t think much of the sun tans though, but who cares, as long as there is wind! :D

Talking of wind, I wonder what Fred is up to lately? :P
