I just have a few things to say at this point.

Everyone is welcome !

If you do not have a glider and are interested in taking up gliding,
Please come along and we will get you flying !

Coffee tea etc. is povided for pilots and friends.

If anyone is travelling long distances then please let me know as to assist with accommodation.

We will have direction signs in place from the A29 after you exit the small town of Moneymore.

My phone number is (044) 07787368449 incase you need to speak with me or contact me via PM on Glider Ireland.

Please try and indicate wether you are planning to join us.

Now all we require is your prayers for sun and big winds to be answered.

Please feel free to ask any question about the event.

Hmmmmm, :?: ……….the weather predictions don’t seem to want to play ball, do they Richard.

Both Metcheck and Accuweather are saying showers/rain and South/ south westerly winds for next weekend :(

I know you’ve referred to the southerly slopes as being “restricted”, not too sure what that means, but overall at the moment I don’t think I’ll be joining you this time round ol’ fruit. :!:

May be later in the year :D

Hi Keith its a pity you are unable to make it.
I will miss you my friend.
The weather man, is like going to a fortune teller, maybe they predict correctly ! Maybe they just fill your head full of nonsense.
Time will tell on the winds etc.
This is the southern slope were i flew my we Fox in forecast winds of 5-8mph winds, on arrival at the slope it was 25, gusting to 32mph.

I’ve seen that little video of your Fox before, it certainly seemed to find more than enough lift on that day didn’t it. :D

As for next weekend, I’ll keep an eye on the forecasts. As you say, the weathermen have been known to get it wrong! :!:

Hi Gerry and Keith, it is unfotunate you are unable to attend.
Hopefully we will get some wind and sun and have a fun time.
We have the NI area aerobatic competition the same weekend and this also may reduce the numbers from the north, having said that anyone that does attend should have a memorable weekend.
Thanks for letting me know and have a fun weekend at the aero tow with the crazy Cork men.

I will keep you up to date with the weather/ real weather for the weekend.
The day to day forecast seems to be way of at the moment.
You can also get details from the Dungannon club

Hi Joe jet setter, thanks for letting us know about the weekend, as it looks like a calm sunny weekend then you might have missed nothing only sun and alot of banter.
The road trip to Rathlin is still going ahead so maybe this will suit you to travel up for a few days.
Have a great trip,

Richard

Sun and a lot of banter sounds good to me. I'm sure there will be a thermal or two to be found! Just need a floater and some perseverance. It's goin to be a long hot summer. We need to start practicing!

Well a man can dream can't he :D
