Scheibe SF-25 "C-Falke"
« on: September 14, 2009, 07:48:53 AM »
Good morning everybody,

My next model will be the famous motor-glider "C-Falke", building by a kit from Rödelmodell (www.roedelmodell.de). Wingspan is 3.85 metres, 1:4 scale, electric flying with 6s-LiPo:

I'm looking for an attractive colour-sheme from a Ireland-based airplane.  Who can help me?

If you have interest, I will give here a building-log.

Bye

PHILIPP

Hey Philipp,

Looking really good !

For the scheme, not sure if they had C-Falke, or Mortorgliders in Ireland (never saw that in the doc I have  :?: )
Let me check and ask some questions to the full size guys !
Some might know !

Anybody else ?  :?:

Well there are some motor gliders around. I see/hear them flying over my house once in a while. If there are any C-Falke's I don't know. Alan might know as he has visited the Dublin glider club a few times I think.

Hi Philipp.
The only motor gliders I know of in Ireland are two ASK 14, a ASK 16, a Dimona, a Fournier RF3 and a Pipistrel Sinus. I don't know of any C-Falke I'm afraid.

Thank you so much. I haven't found anything about a "C-Falke" in Ireland too. But who knows? Somewhere on a lonely airstrip in Ireland might be one...  ;) ;)

Shall I make a building log when I received the kit? My plan is to pick it up on a house-fair on the 3rd October.

Strangely a motor glider flew over my house yesterday.  Not familiar enough with motor gliders to know what it was.

Hi my friends,

last weekend I have seen my boy (12yrs.) playing football in a brand new trikot design: light grey and citrus-yellow. That colour-combination looks beautiful!

I guess, I will create an own design for my motor-glider: The whole model gets 2K-painted in light-grey. With Orastick in citrus-yellow I will stick stripes and forms on it; including some black letters and perhaps an self-designed logo.

What do you say?

Looks good and old fashion !

Why not try silver + yellow, a bit like the old USN trainer planes  :?:

In vintage colours, I alo like the Silver /Red and Red/Black  :D

Yes, I like those "old fashion" styles. In my opinion, silver is too much glossy. And Black gets too hot in summer.

9 Days left until I'm getting my kit.  :) :) :)

Just coming back from the "German Autobahn"...

The presentation at Rödelmodell was a big event, with several hundred's visitors and a lot of fantastic airplanes.

The "C-Falke" in the static display. The fuselage is made by Paritech.

The wings are made from CNC-cutted parts, also the tails and a lot of parts for the fuselage.

Petra Dörfler (daughter of the company's founder) collected the kit for AUFWIND.

Next weekend I will do the first steps. I keep you updated...

Hi Gerry. Phillip did a build review of it in the Aufwind magazine over three or four issues.
