R/C Glider Irish National Championships
« on: May 30, 2006, 09:16:47 AM »
Ok, that's official now, so I can tell you.

For the first time, a Glider National will take place in Ireland, 15th and 16th of July in County Clare.

And... No more infos !

So, don't really know what's going on, if that's scale, non scale, f3b, f3j, f3f, fun fly etc etc. Any rules ?

So, you can contact Ralph McCarthy  (087-8322791)  / rmccartyhy@cit.ie  for more details on the event. Or Ralph can use the forum to give us some infos ? Ralph ?

Anyway, that's the week End after Retroplane (that's official now.. the biggest RC vintage glider meeting in Europe...), and a National need preparation.. So, I don't really know if I'm going to participate. Not I don't want to (A Gider national !! In Ireland !! ) but I really need to know where I'm going !

Anyway... Wait and see.

I was kidding of course..

Just back from the MACI website.. And as always, 10 years behind for news (at least ), updates and so on...

Anyway, if Ralph or someone else can give us some news  / photos about the national glider that will be great.

i mailed Ralph and he got back to me today.here's what he said.

"we had about 15 competitors in total but alas only the light weight models would fly. A great day had by all and some super models present.

Hopefully a full report will be in the next issue of Flight lines"

I scan the report and post it when i get the next flight lines!
