He's ALIVE!  Hi Ralph  !

Joe, er, I feel I've missed something:  Cork in April?  Were? No one has even responded to my suggestion for March.... :!: ?  Are we talking formal events or get-togethers here? Aargh :!: .

Can someone physically drag Gerry to his computer and ask him to just send us a line or two on the forum?  Why are the glider flyers in Ireland so reluctant to communicate?  If I was Fred I would have shot myself ages ago :!:  :!: .

Hiya Chris. Cork glide-in is usually at the end of April. I believe it is again this year. Ralph??
Gerry doesn't post on the forum I'm afraid. He knows the slope down there and will choose the best one for the wind. Lets just hope the weather is good. Head down(or up) there and enjoy some gliding. I'm sure we can deal with whatever slope we end up flying!!

Will post some dates and get back to you 'bout March in the next day or two. Been up to my **** here minding two kids while the other half is away.

Yep as Fred said. Gerry Buckley is the Glider Sec for the Shannon club and has flown the slopes around there for years.

Sorry guys  , I think I'm starting to unravel this whole thing, with the help of the MACI calendar.

Possibly my brain is clouded because I'm just so frustrated with the general lack of communication.  There are so few glider flyers on this little island, that we are physically spread out all over the place.  You would think there would be some interest in getting together and/or even just chatting now and again?

BTW (and I will make an official post about this soon) We are going to go for the 14th of June for the MACI glide-in and Sunday the 15th will be a rain day. The calendar on the MACI site needs to be updated. I hope this suits. Myself and Gerry felt it was the best option and gives us a better chance of having a good flying day
