Check This Out

Alan_Perse:
Some of you may have seen this already. But check this out. It's a 1/2 scale Austria Elephant made by some Swiss guys. I think the full size Austria had a 30m wingspan. So that would give this Model a 15m wingspan. Big or what.

Wight:
15m is standard sailplane class. They shoulda built a 1:1 Ka6 and be done with it. Maybe they couldn't find a big enough wheel.

Fred, how about a 3:2 Ka3. That'd be 15m too...

Fred:
  A Ka3 bigger than the original ! Can be nice !  :P

Not sure if that flew already, but check out the certification video.... Big cracks sound can be heard when they load the wings, and they all look concerned !  :?

Still don't see the point of doing something the size of a full size glider, and as they discovered during the certification process, at that size, that fall into the full size safety domain, so 2 small screws to retain the wing panels, is obviously a no go for the guy that do the certification, so as the carbone tube and small incidence pin
If someone can understand German...   :?:

Wow! :D  That's pretty impressive

I wonder how long that took to build. :?:

Don't think it would fit in my little car

Thanks for posting the video Iflytailies :D
