Sorry no! That's the DS-238 above!

For the 239, I only have the CS (analog version). I guess same screws than the DS

Sorry Ralph, will not be able to go to Falaise this year :( So far anyway! Not happy about that, but that might change at the last minute  :'(
Looks like I may have a last minute Plan B as I could really do with some sun!

And we are done with what was planned!
Well, almost. Keeps having showers here, so can’t put the wings on for a quick check, cleanup and add the reg.

Anyway, main bits are done and everything works :)

Alright, back to that one!

Seeing the great summer, time to prep a couple of machines. And it's the turn of the SHK today!

First flight was a couple of years ago if I recall, and after that weekend, lying in the shed! And that's a shame really has I keep flying the Phoebus I got at the same time... But now, time to get some more hours on it :)

Today's job:

Cleaning!
Add some scale immat (it will be a mix coming from the usual excellent Mr Fisher's 3 views, but main reg will be as below)
Add a Jeti Max Bec
Add a pilot

And if all goes well weather wise, set it up in the garden to do a quick radio check as it's too big to be put together inside unfortunately.

It’s that time of the year again!

A couple of photos of this year’s display.  Really wanted to see the Lancaster, but he was a no show on Sunday unfortunately.

Anyway, here are a few photos, less than usual as they are pretty much the same year on year and the lack of sun did not produced great ones as I am far from being a pro!

As I told you on your gmail, it cannot be sent! I’m sure it’s pretty obvious seeing the size.
If you don’t want it anymore, that’s fine as I said, unless you collect or pay a fortune in shipping, you can’t get it.

No point putting mean comments here, contact the post office.

No need to reply 👍

First flight of number 3 yesterday by Nhalyn!

First comment: ça arrache sa mère! French expression, but basically, flies great 🤣

A quick test of the wing build, and we are sucking diesel!

Hey Bill,

Here you are below (roughly, quick drawing), but that's within 5mm of the final drawing

Misc / Mini spot welder
« on: July 17, 2023, 17:01:03 PM »
One of those things that as soon as you try go “why I did not buy one earlier!”  ::)

As I am slowly transitioning to Li-ion batteries, like my good old niamh packs, I decided to make them myself and after doing the usual soldering, decided to invest in a mini spot welder.
And God, I should have invested way sooner! Makes batteries in minutes, clean and very strong!
Did a couple of spot weld on a 1850 battery, and could not tear apart the nickel that was welded with pliers!

Anyway, look at the photos, took me 5 minutes to weld those batteries, and already looking forward to my next batch 😁

For info, there are tons of those spot welders available, the one I have is the SeeSii spot welder. Came with what looks like a lifetime supply of nickel strip, usb charging cable, battery holders and a small file to clean up the connections.
