Chris,

I can recommend either the Middle Phase or a Phase 6 - easy to repair!  Banded on wings as in the Middle Phase are pretty forgiving when starting out and may be the best bet.  I keep pulling the bolt mounting out of my Phase 6 with misjudged landings - although it is meant to have a weak link in it.  Note also Phase 6 comes in two versions - symmetrical and asymmetrical - the latter is probably the best to start with and will fly in a wider range of wind conditions.

Slope Soaring / Sagitta 900

I have almost finished building this Sagitta 900 after a slow build.  The model was originally kitted by Airtronics but I built this one from Dreamcatcher plans and half kit that I got from the US.  The fuslage is glass and everything else is built up - 100 inch span and rudder/elevator.  Just about ready to go once I have sorted out the spoilers that currently are not retracting properly.  Should be ready in the next few weeks for a maiden flight, weather permitting.
