Title: Dublin Maker's Market Fair 2013
Post by: Fred on July 30, 2013, 14:00:37 PM
Alright, not really model related, but cool nonetheless  :D
Very interesting of course, but for our hobby, except maybe for the paper plane contest  :D , one part in particular was very appealing to us modellers. The CNC zone!
That gave me the occasion to chat with a few guys over there, and share experience. They were demonstrating CNC routers, lasers etc, but the part that I really wanted to see, was the 3D printing.
Very interesting, easy to build and "cheap" (I saw some DIY kits on the interweb going for around 400 euros...).
Very good if you know 3D (I'm useless at that   ) and possibilities are pretty much endless.
