Hope you're having a good time on the Big L!
We managed a quick outing this week so despite less than ideal conditions we got quite a few minutes in the air.

Another new recruit into the slope fun.

Great Skua had some objections to our presence but soon saw we were just hanging around. ;)

Your new friend doesn’t fly much like a “new recruit” Selleri. I’d say he’s been doing it some time!
It’s great when the birds come out to play with the models, isn’t it. A year or two ago our friends in Northern Ireland had an eagle join them whilst flying off the coast, and just last summer Big Keith found his MiJet being attacked by a Sparrow Hawk (Talons extended :( ) on its maiden flight. (The MiJets’ maiden flight, not the sparrow hawks’. …..Just thought I‘d point that out. )
Very dramatic scenery you have there. I noticed there were no topless women on the beach. Don’t Icelandic ladies like to get sun tanned?

Well, he isn't new in the modeling game(he owns the 50% Cub (http://www.gliderireland.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3401&highlight=hempel)) and has been on a few slope trips with us before.

Off white is the national skin colour of Icelandic people... with various shades of red when the sun arrives. +5° or + 15° it's all warm for us and time to do some tanning. ;)
The ladies(and gents) tend to assemble near concrete retangles that we fill with hot water and call swimming pools (http://www.swimminginiceland.com/) though only a minority does swim in them.
We've also got one beach we heat up (http://www.nautholsvik.is/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-715/).

Speaking off, stumbled upon this the other day... no idea where it's taken though.
