Hi
I am a regular flyer at Roundwood MFC and am also thinking of getting back into slope soaring .
Kilakee and Mt leinster appear to be the most accessible slopes for me to get to ( I am in Rathdrum ) ...can anyone tell me where i can find out when members are likely to be up there ?
I have a large 80" Vulcan which has flown a few times as an EDF power model but is a bit of a bugga to get off a grass runway so I am planning on converting it to be a pure slope glider ( should be spectacular ! :-X) ...other than removing the engines and landing gear etc I am not sure what changes I need to make...should the C 0f G be moved forward a bit for sloping (?) ..and should I block off the air intakes (?)..any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

for Kilakee talk to Fred Marie. We'll all be at Mt Leinster at the end of Sept (20/21) for the final event of the year

Ok..great..thanks...I will get on with modifying the Vulcan for the slope and then hopefully bring it down to Mt Leinster in September ..could be interesting !
