Hi Fred, I hate to ask !
But I wonder would it be possable to change the September dates,
17th-18th as this is Dungannon Clubs Fly-In and it is Northern Irelands biggest fly-In of the season.
Being secretary of the club it would mean that I would be unable to attend.
I understand if the date is fixed.
I hate to miss flying with you all !

Richard

To Gerry et al,
It is our intention to run the CMAC Glide in over two days subject to interest, to encourage the people who have yet to venture this far South.  The plan would be to have a flat field event on the Saturday, bungees, winching and aerotowing (Piper PA18 SuperCub with 3W 80 engine). BBQ on site. And to venture to the slopes on the Sunday.  If interested could you please reply here so we can gauge the interest and finalise the plans please.

It will be the weekend before Easter that is the 16th and the 17th of April, All welcome.

Proof of insurance will be required for the Saturday on the Club site in Brinny, Co. Cork(just outside Bandon.

Regards

Ralph

Hi Ralph. Will an A cert be needed to fly at the Club site?

Ok, was thinking (ouch) yesterday...

I have 1 or 2 gliders to sell, I can post them on the forum or elsewhere, but I would prefer buyers to see the thing in the flesh.

So, why don't we do a "Bring and Buy" at the PSS event ?

Anyone interrested in that sort of thing ?  :?:

I’m in the market for a glider!…………. :D

Wingspan: 3 -4 mtr. Must be aerobatic, with a relatively fast airfoil. Doesn’t matter what it looks like, I’m only interested in what the plane flys like. :D
Preferably  a ‘+’ tail, and preferably wings with foam cores, but other types considered.

Cash waiting for the right model,………………..any offers?

HHMmmmm…..I’ve seen your pictures of it Chris. That is one very sexy looking glider. 8)  (I’ve just come back from having to have a cold shower after looking at it! )

Tell me, does it still look as it did in those pictures? No knocks or blemishes?

It is, in all truth, a little over the budget I was thinking of. (I wasn’t really looking for scale.) But as you say, I didn’t mention a figure in my posting,. ….sorry about that.

I fly on 2.4Ghz, so if you kept the rx, and the Li-po (I have loads of my own) any chance of the price coming down towards 300? Er,.....no,……. I didn’t think there would be.

Oh well, I’ll just keep dreaming then……….ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Keith,
I have a graupner rogallo, old model but can take a lot of ballast, Flew once in a steady 45mph wind in the Isle of Mann.
This is a pic of one but not mine
I'll bring to ML if you are any way interested

Hey Ralph, before you lug it all the way to Wexford, can you tell me the spec.
Span, length, weight, airfoil, flaps or spoilers, airframe materials. Don’t know much about the Rogallo. I had thought they were warm/hotliners. :?:  Is it a very aerobatic plane?

Keith,
will fly it so will bring it anyhow. 3.2m quad wing, section god only knows. A popular model in our club, there were five and now only 2.
Not a rocket but aerotowed well and slopes well. Balsa covered foam wings and glass gel coat fuse.
Hope this is of some help.

Off to the old head now for some nice SW'erlies

Okey cokie, I can’t find anything about them on the net. Only details about “Rogallo” refer to flexible wings like those of hang gliders.

Thanks Ralph

………………Winds are too light here at the moment. :(  May be I'll get up to Big L. later today.

Enjoy yourself
