Just had some flights on a wonderfull (nothing less :wink: ) slope close to Hendaye! Pictures next week when I'm back !
Going to the beach now

Events / R/C Glider Irish National Championships

Ok, that's official now, so I can tell you.

For the first time, a Glider National will take place in Ireland, 15th and 16th of July in County Clare.

And... No more infos !

So, don't really know what's going on, if that's scale, non scale, f3b, f3j, f3f, fun fly etc etc. Any rules ?

So, you can contact Ralph McCarthy (087-8322791) / rmccartyhy@cit.ie for more details on the event. Or Ralph can use the forum to give us some infos ? Ralph ?

Anyway, that's the week End after Retroplane (that's official now.. the biggest RC vintage glider meeting in Europe...), and a National need preparation.. So, I don't really know if I'm going to participate. Not I don't want to (A Gider national !! In Ireland !! ) but I really need to know where I'm going !

Anyway... Wait and see.

Hi there,

First of all, thanks to Alan for the 3 views !

So, after my 1/5.5 Grunau Baby, it's time for a new scale ship !
This time, the Ka3, 2.5mtrs wing span.
Let's glue some wood !

As usual now for me, I've started with the "front box" made with 3mm plywood (from the local DIY store...)

Scale / KA3

So, here is my next project. This one took the prority from the AVIA 32e.. I need more time to build an eaxct replica of this one.
The Ka3 is much more simple ! :roll: Ok, may be not...

So thanks to Alan with the 3views, here is the fuselage... Work still in progress... The plan will be almost ready next week..

PSS / B 25 "Mitchell" PSS

So, the biggest PSS in Ireland (yep, that's the biggest !

) is on it's way !
So far, the fuselage is just waiting for the wings to be covered. The spars were made and glued to the wings and a much lighter elevator has been made as well. So here are the pictures of the fuselage like he was 2 days ago :

Not bad after a week of work !

So, the next big step for me will be to create the 2 "motors" cowlings and to design a simple system to hold the 2 externals wings panel to the central one.

PSS / The Mystery Aircraft (PSS)

Hello there,

The 24th of April is the Annual Cork Glide-in. The only Glider event in Ireland (yet... that may change... :rolleyes: )
So, I'll go to this event (like every year since I live in Ireland..) with my usual bunch of gliders, but this year, I've plan to build the biggest PSS in Ireland (as far as I know, that will be the biggest) in less than a month ! And a scale one please !

In Fact, this PSS will be a prototype for an electric or IC version, but the PSS will allow me to test the design with no cost. And if this model can fly as a PSS imagine with 2 brushless and lipos or 2 IC motors (for the dirty guys !

)

So now, it's your turn to play and found what is this PSS reproduce. There is a view for connoisseur who can find straight away the model.

The prize will be the printed plans of this model when finished for the first of you who find what it is.

Events / RETROPLANE 2006

This event in France is becoming one of the biggest !

A must see ! So, fancy some holidays in France, Britany (ok ok, leaving Ireland to go on vacation in Britany, it's a bit like traveling from Dublin to Cork !

) but you will still have the good food and wine, and most important here, some beautifulk piece of gliders !
