Hi Phil

Good to see that the MB-339A build is coming along well. You can really add alot of scale detail to this model if you wish, I look forward to seeing the model with some cockpit detail, also, should look great and with the Peru colour scheme and the new peru decal set, I expect this MB-339a to turn a few heads on the slope next season.

Now that I am slowly working my way through the order list for MB-339a kits, I have also put together a selection of other decal sets of various examples from air forces around the world.

Sets available at present for the MB-339a

Two display teams, the Frecce Tricolori and the new Golden Knights.

Two Italian training squardon sets are available.

The UAE desert colour scheme

This is an Australian training scheme for the MB-326, but can be used with the MB-339a

And of course the new Peru low viz and red roundel scheme.

The customer can request a particular scheme when ordering their kit.

I intend to add a few more schemes later next year.

Hi Stephen

I have the perfect set for you,  a set of sun glasses which can be converted into a set of goggles by removing the legs and adding the adjustable strap, you also have extra lens which can be changed to suit the light conditions.
I use these all the time when flying as my eyes suffer from the wind also. I have a new set in the workshop, if you want a set, I will bring them with me to the next flyin, cost about 8 euro.

Last jet to close the show, was the old lady herself, 'the Vulcan'

The Vulcan pilot finished his display by flying around the mountain and doing a low flypass , 'if the Sabre can do it, so can the big Vulcan'

Time for home folks, until next year 'Roisin and Richard'

Hi all

Here is a few photos from the 2013 Newcastle airshow Co Down which took place on saturday. This has to be one of the best flying displays I have ever seen, and I have been at quite a few airshows over the years in the uk and USA. This is a small show compared with most shows across the water, however, the aircraft are close into the beach and low. The Reds put on a great display as always, so did the Hunter, the Vulcan and all the aircraft attending the show, but the star of the show, has to to be the F86 Sabre. This pilot started his display flying low between the mountains and came down along the beach at full speed 20ft off the sand, the crowd went wild all 125,000 of them, with a big cheer, I have never seen a display like what this pilot flew, just fantastic.

This show is getting better with each year and has now in my opinion become the top airshow in Ireland.

Here are some pics from the day.

I think this is a Seafurry

Slope Soaring / The Condor has Landed - but what about the servos?
« on: August 02, 2013, 21:46:24 PM »
Ron the HS-55 servos are to small, I have a couple in the servo box, also I think they have plastic gears, better to go with metal gears.

Hi Guys

Keith glad you enjoyed your hols, the pics are great. I flew with warbirds some years back when I was in the USA and loved every second of the flight. The instructor give the stick on take off and took it back only for showing me how to fly to some aerobatics and only a few seconds before touch down. The flight was the highlight of that holiday. After that I got many flights with a friend and his Skybolt, a great plane but hard to fly correctly and a beast to land. Selleri, you are like me, give anything a go!!!

Coming out of a loop!!

My good friend Frank and I taking the skybolt for a flight, before he sold the plane to a display pilot from England.

Slope Soaring / The Condor has Landed - but what about the servos?
« on: August 02, 2013, 21:00:31 PM »
Hi Ron

Andrew, is the man to talk too. he has a Condor, and it is a great flying glider. Send him a message

I use MG servos in all my gliders hitec 82, 85, and a few smaller servos that are no longer available, no need for big expensive digi servos, only used them when I flew turbines at 120 euro a servo,

Ron Best advice, 'keep your set up simple' and invest in a good battery, it saves time and money.
