No slope flying so far, weather has been rubbish! But the Lentus is always with me in the car. Plenty of flying with it for sure!
And also the finesse max. God I love this glider!
Oh, and a new toy, the Mpx funwing. Fun it is, and glide surprisingly well too! Permanent resident of the car along the Lentus

Could not resist. I like biplanes and the price was more that right on that one.
Not going to detail the build, this is Multiplex! Everything fits and assembled without issues.
Just some building details are a tad vague like connecting the ailerons to the servo extensions while sliding the 2 wings in place!
But other than that, all went like a breeze.
First flight was last Saturday at the SRFC after the rain and was a non event, looks great in the air and is fully aerobatic!
First landing, not sure what happened, but I left the landing gear behind after touchdown
Promptly fixed and subsequent flight was just another non event.
I like that one! Good fun.

« Last post by Fred on February 06, 2025, 00:40:42 AM »I also wanted to fly my MaxiLift during the new year break. Could not get the engine to run properly for more than 5 minutes!
Was driving me mad, and even more after Cork as it was running great after Brendan tweaked it. Anyway, I tried and failed.
Weeks later, brought it back and Tony setup the engine in like 2 minutes from scratch and it is now purring like a kitten! No ideas how he managed that as we spent hours on the damn thing, so it is still a dark magic to me!

Sports / So, I joined yet another club! RWMAC

I have been invited a few times by Tony Green (thank you!) to come and visit the club, located near Roundwood in Co. Wicklow.
I finally managed to get my arse in gear, and paid the club a visit a few months ago, and I was not disappointed!
The welcoming was just superb, and the setup is fantastic! I had the trusty Lentus with me, and was allowed to use the field as a full member for the day, and well, I joined! they know how to talk to men
More seriously, the guys are great, the ambiance is fantastic as a result, and the field is big with plenty of space for the big stuff.
Anyway, more later, but for now, enjoy a couple of photos

« Last post by Fred on February 05, 2025, 22:34:34 PM »Alright so, I was quiet, but flying wise, I managed a few days with the guys last year, along a scale meeting organisés by the club.
More on that I guess as I was told last weekend they will organise another scale event in around August, and of course, gliders welcome
First of the year was a very friendly competition (it’s a big word! Was really an excuse to get out flying with like minded people! More fun than competition) and to my surprise finished 3rd on the day. Brilliant to see the first 2 were 2 young lads! Good to see the new generation of RC pilots really invested in the hobby!
All in all, good start of the year at the SRFC, so here are a few photos of last year and this year. Might put more if there is some interest
