Rathlin Island trip
« on: April 23, 2012, 18:19:46 PM »
i think this year we should take the 10am ferry leaving ballycastle it's going to take 45 minutes to get to the island and then we have a bus journey to get us to the west lighthouse and then return either on the 3.30pm or 5.30pm depending on the number of people at the light house

now there's two ferry's that operate one's a fast ferry and could have you there in about twenty minutes but it's not suitable for carrying models as it's all seated and if the sea was to be rough you could end up with a damaged model and the other is a car ferry and takes 45 minutes but theres plenty of room

this time of the year is very busy with people going to see the puffins and other sea birds so it might be a good idea to book your place on the ferry at www.rathlinballycastleferry.com
it's £11.60 for a return and senior citizens go free and it'll cost you £5 return on the bus
so who all for going this year  :D
we had a crackin day last year
