Hi Fred.
Enjoyed the clip of your Alpina. Do you still have it ?. http://www.gliderireland.net/images/videos/alpina.wmv
You say it's a 4001. Does this mean that they changed the wing size over time ?.

Take a look at the photo in the attachment. This is the lid off the box mine came in.

Talk soon Fred.

Adrian.

Hey Adrian,

Sorry, only see this now!

No, mine is an original Alpina, from the early 80s  :D (yellow stickers and all that). Still have it of course

Never heard of an Alpina CS  :?:  Must be from the Contest Line or maybe it is the full name, but that is still an Original one anyway :)

Earlier that the Alpina Magic (early 90s and up to 4.4m with wing extensions) and of course, the Alpina 4001/5001 (2000s I believe, 4 and 5m WS respectively).
Little Keith have an alpina 4001 :)

On a side note, I think I have posted this before , but Topp-Rippin is re-doing the original Alpina (called the.. Alpine) with the original Ritz2 or 3, can't remember. Handy for people looking for spare parts to keep the old lady going!  :D

Mine in flight

Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!
