i've got a T240 with a zenoah 62 in the nose and i'm hoping to start aerotowing again
we've had a few wee problems but now hopefully they are all sorted

hoping to get out this weekend and do some more flying with the model and get it set up
my biggest problem is i want to be the glider pilot and i'm depending on other people to do the tugging

i'll be flying my 1/4 scale flair K8 and a pat teakle 1/4 scale Pic 20 if all goes well mind you not at the same time :lol:

the best aerotowing i had was last year when one of our club mates had a hanger 9 pawnee with a lazer 100 up front and i was flying a cm pro discus, i had some great flights
unfortunately clifford has lost interest a bit this year and hasn't been out

so fingers crossed that all goes well

Good stuff !
The T240 is a very good tow plane, really close to the BigLift.

There's always a rather large B52 that could be aerotowed :!: :!:

the b52 would be no bother at all i've towed a large scale Rhonbussard up with my old trusty 62 engine and it weighted 32lb

another bad night with the T240

i'm starting to think a 62cc engine is too big for it, i'm finding it very hard to land
the run way was short and the grass is now about a foot or a foot and a half tall and i was coming over a fence
had the model set up nice on aproach flaps down and the engine at tick over and it seems the last few feet it just falls out of the sky pulled the undercarriage out but no other damage
i'm thinking the big engine with a 20" prop even at tick over is coming in pretty fast and i haven't the room to land
might go back to the pawnee with the 120 fourstroke or one of the new XL wot 4's with a 120 fourstroke and just fly 2.5 0r 3 metre gliders and leave the bigger stuff for the mountain or the beach

done a bit of towing this week :clap:
a club member used a DLE 33 engine in his T240 and it worked a treat
managed to pull up my 1/4 scale pic 20 and flair K8 :clap: :clap:
