Ok, no photos, but a quick update.

Sheeting started on the wings. Almost all done!
Wings are looking good and light. Could not resist, and put the glider together. Looking good  :D

So, this week's plan is to finish the wings and make a rudder.
If enough time, do the stab mounting. So still on time for having this thing finished by the end of the month  :D

Ok, so pretty much the last week for this build!
So far, all in time to have it done by the end of the month.
Winge sheeting is done.
Started the elevator mounting.
So, this week jobs are:

Servos in wings
Covering

Start the ailerons
Make the rudder
Finish the elevator mounting.

Plenty of time as they are all quick jobs to do  :D

Oh, and canopy should be with me soon hopefully  :D

I have to weight it at this stage, as the fuselage feels very heavy  :?: But I am really happy with the wings!

A few photos to give you an idea of the size (4.3m)

Not too small, not too big, perfect to bring everywhere with you  :D

Stay tuned for more  :D

Great work Fred :D :D . Looks like a nice size. But are you not going to sheet the entire wing all the way back to the trailing edge  :?:  :?:  ?

Thank you all :)

Alan, sheeting will stop at the spars (D box), more than enough.

Alright, small progress!
But that thing start to look like a glider! That need a bit of room to setup!

For the wings, just the ailerons to be done and hook them up (airbrakes are in and setup)
Fuselage.. Rudder, servo tray, and still waiting for my canopy  :!:
So, lot of work still left, but not too bad at this stage for only 2 weeks worth of work  :D

Oh, and I am gutted!
Built a Fuselage jig to setup wing joiners etc etc... Drilled holes and so on.. Put the wings on the fuselage.. And not straight!(viewed from the top, other axis are fine) By 5mm  :!:  :!:
Checked the Jig, and looks like one of the side slided while the glue was drying, certainly because of the weight of the clamps  :!:  :!: Did not pay attention  :!:
Jig now destroyed, and will be burnt at the next BBQ!!  :x

I use a floating key, so too much work to rectify it, I leave it like that for now, nothing that some white tape cannot hide!  :P  :D

Oh Fred, do you mean you made a boo-boo  . And I’d been thinking you were perfect  . I feel better about some of my many mishaps now! :)

More haste and less speed is needed perhaps?

   Me? Lots of mistakes! All the time (that's how we learn   )
But you don't usually hear them. That one was so stupid, that I had to share (and my doctor said that would "help" too  :P )

This is the stupid result of having a workshop filled up to the roof with gliders! No more space to build stuff, and everything is done on the corner of a table  :!:
Serious cleaning on the way, before the building season start!

Okay

If you’re going to have a clearout :?:  I’m wondering if you might find a ‘novice’ type sloper you would want to get rid of.

It’s for my friend Keith who has just joined the forum. He lives locally to me and has had 3hours flight time on my powered Cessna. He wants to try his hand at sloping on the Big L.
I’m wondering that if you had anything you wanted to sell, that was suitable, he could see it and possibly buy it at the Glide -In at the end of this month. It would give you a bit more room in your grossly over stocked garage  and by the sound of it, you need all the space you can get

HELP!  :!:

Ok, I have a problem!
I can't find any blind nuts in my workshop! I know I have hundreds, any sizes, somewhere!
Looked for them for almost 2 hours last night, but could not find any!  :!:  :!:

Does anyone have a pair of nuts ( ) I can borrow (well, long term borrowing really :P ).
I would need 5 or 6mm ones.
I have ordered some, but I'm affraid they might not get to me befor ethe week end  :!:

Your price will be mine  :D

On the B4 front, rudder is done, need to be attached. Ailerons are done.
So pretty much in a RTF state now, with only the servos to install for the elevator / rudder / ailerons, and of course, mount the stabilisator.
Photos to follow.
