Wing Setup
« on: October 16, 2009, 15:13:25 PM »
Hi all,

I am putting together a flying wing and just got stuck at this (simple) problem.

When i push the stick up, the right aileron moves up and left aileron down and opposite when stick is pushed left!
When i push the stick left, both ailerons go up and opposite when pushed right!
I do not plan on flying with my optic 6 sideways :)

What is the best solution i could try for this? I did not have time to try anything yet but will do over the weekend, read the manual again.

Using Channel 1 for right servo and Channel 2 for left servo as suggested in manual, also not using v tail mixer but have one if i need it.
Ta

You will need to use a delta mixer. Thats a mixer specially made for flying wings. The  mixer is probably programed into your transmitter already, you just need to turn it on. I assume the Optic 6 transmitter has a delta mixer.

Alan,

It mentioned to switch on Elevon Mixing which i did.

I will check tonight for the delta mixer, i'm sure the function is on it.

Thanks

I think the Elevon mixer is the same as a delta mixer. If thats the case may be the servos are connected to the wrong channels.

Don't worry. I have made the same mistake as well. Had quite a number of head scratching moments   :D  :D . Trial and error.

Hi Anthony,

Or swap channel 1 and 2 on the receiver...
I had a few MC18 nonsense moments too...  :P
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!
