In the right hands that Vector can be very fast and aerobatic.

Ask yourself this question Richard. Are you made of the “Right Stuff?”
Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Hi Nando , thanks for the kind comments. She is pretty and darned sleek.

Keith , your 100% correct ! and I have asked myself lots of questions about my flying abilities. Life is all about challenges

Thanks Andrew , hope to get up the mountain else later this evening (if it stops raining) or tomorrow.
My Dad is a bed of rock when it comes to gliding, and he can fly any plane I have ! He has forgotten what I know about sloping.
I am only learning how to fly !
Great to hear you and Chris were up on Binevenagh, we have another victim for gliding !

A nice picture of the West cliffs !!!!!!!!

If you’ve both got identical planes, in identical colours, and you fly them at the same time, at the same place,……………!!! :?:  Just don’t blink or sneeze while you flying.

(I found myself “flying” what I think was a Sparrow Hawk for a few moments after I’d sneezed the other day  )

As I’ve said before, the Vector looks a very capable plane. 8)  Are you up to the challenge John?? :P
Only one way to find out!

Hey Richard,
Do you fly at Binevenagh alot? Looks spectacular, lift must be great there. Whats the access like? Dont mind walking at all but always handy if there is a road. Hows the Veccy going for you, did you have her out yesterday?

Hi Ed, I try to fly on Binevenagh as often as I can. My parents have a caravan about 5 min drive from the mountain. This is Andrews local flying site and I team up with him.
I had the children up at the caravan last week and meet Andrew and his dad Jeff and flew on the westerly cliffs. A hoop over a fence and 100yrds from the road and your on the ridge. Amazing lift and I flew the veccy but truth be told I am taking my time to get used to how she flys before I try any wild aerobatics. The Vector III is so beautiful to fly and has amazing accuracy in every maneuver I have tried with her. The roll rate feels abit sluggish so I will try and add some flap mix into the ailerons and see if it improves. CG is finally set at 110mm , again maybe a bit far back for some pilots but this is how I fly.
Jeff was thrilled by the sound of the Veccy zipping along the ridge !!!!
totally amazing screams as she passes you by lol
I had a great time with Andrew and Jeff and loved the stories Jeff told of how they launched of the ridge and then walked 4 or so miles and landed in  the fields below ! Now thats cross country flying.
I love this plane so so much and I know they are expensive but worth every penny for the best slope gliding experience !

Richard
wish the cloud would lift !

I had my 4th flight with the Vector 3 this evening.
Slieve Gallion was the setting with 20mph winds hitting the big North slope.
All I can say is this plane is getting better every flight.
Now I have her nearly trimmed so it was time to do some aerobatics.
4 point rolls are so so simple and the plane made me look in control lol.
This is the first glider that I have flown that a inter-grated roll in a loop is easy to perform. what a feeling.
