I have a few DS Birdys on the way !
Not sure if I could handle this wee speedster, but hell it sure looks fun.
The kits are super quality as all German products are.

This is the Birdy flying of a bungee

I have seen them fly on the slope and my goodness they are mega fast and aerobatic to boot.

WWEeeeeeeeee, 8)  very sleek Richard. How fast are your reaction times these days?

It looks about a 1.6 mtr span, If it’s a two piece wing it could be one of those models to keep in the car, ‘just in case’ you need a flying “Fix”.

How long before it’s in the air....... Wednesday afternoon perhaps?

K.
Try not to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas....... all at the same time.

Hi Bill/Keith,
The Bird is 100cm/1M plane and is really a HLG !
It soon proved very strong wing construction, plus the factor it thermals really well from a throw !

A great all round wee glider.

This is her DSing downwind from a line of trees on a flat field.

I like that!

Definitely worth considering. It would be a nice change to build a wood plane again - it's been a while.
I'll have to see if I can afford it after the budget today.

When do think you'll you have them in?

Hi Aidan, according to TNT they are already with me lol.
The planes belong to Kees.
As soon as I have them and Kees lets me know what they cost then first come first served.
Kees is translating the build instructions as we speak.

OK update on TNT DELIVERY SERVICE.
After serveral phone calls I finally got a lovely lady that knows about the company she work s for lol
TNT do not deliver small parcel post in Northern Ireland !
It shows on TNT track and trace that I have recieved the parcels yet today after the call it shows the parcels are out for delivery !
Who delivers the parcel I hear you ask ,
Well it is good old Royal Mail !
When I spoke with them they said no such parcels were ever received in the local sorting office !
Back to square one .
I forgot to say these planes were in North Australia for 7 wks prior to finally finding out were Ireland is !
Blame it all on computors !

Richard, I think Kees should be thinking about lodging a claim with TNT,

(or the senders should as they were obviously misled about TNT's capabilities to deliver in NI!)  :?:

BIRDIE KITS ARRIVED
Today the Birds arrived  :D
I have treated myself to one
6 are pre order and a few spares remain.
All I now need is the price.
Postage costs to Ireland should be around €15 or what ever it costs Kees, will be charged.
The kits include all the hardware and even I see some servo cable !
I persume this is for your aileron servo extensions.
Carbon boom, micro pushrods , horns etc are all in the kits.
Beautiful kits  :P

You can find a link here to the build instructions in english.
Kees is the translater.

Christmas is as expensive as you make it Bill !
That bed of yours must be close to the ceiling by now with all the money stored under the mattress
Only 2 left !
