Tres long week end ici (4 jours :D ).
-

Thanks for the offer Ralph :D See you next week! I bring the drinks! :D
-
et au niveau temperature?
-
Sorry guys, I'm not going to make it down next weekend. Been having problems with my back.
Last weekend did a test run and went up to Slieve Gallion, an hour each way. By the time I got back I could barely stand!
On Thurs I had 5 injections into the small of my back to try and relieve some of the pain. Leaves me in absolute agony and will last for about a week, so a 4 hour drive each way next weekend is a definite no no :!: :!:
I'm hoping that the injections will allow me to get out a bit more this Summer, but there's still the unpleasant possibility of more surgery. :( :(
Hope to be down in Sept. :?:
-
good recovery
-
Hi Bill,
Wish you a prompt recovery! :(
I'll hopefully see you in 2 weeks!
Nan, j'deconne! (pouf pouf pouf)
-
on fini les valises
apres on t appele
il y a combien de kms pour le pub?
-
j-1
-
Ca roule ma poule :)
Sinon, je vous attend ou alors? Sur la route ou a Ferns?
-
je sais pas
c est pas moi qui conduis
on peut prendre ferns
-
-
bon , on est pret
-
Salut les potos ! :D
'Musez vous bien, gros bisous !

Friday - First day
Off to the slope, joined by Ralph, Les, John and Richard.
Flying started straight away, as conditions were very good, sun + wind (dying as the day went by, ending up the day doing thermal flying :D )
Oh, and aperitif on the slope!
Ralph flying with a glass of Moresque in his hand :

Saturday :
Glorious morning! Not a clouds in sight :D
(http://www.gliderireland.net/forum/images/uploads/Fred/P1060560.jpg)
Time for some more action! A bigger contingent headed to Mt Leinster. I think we were about 20 at some stage
Lots and lots of flying (one of my radio had 5 hours at the end of the day...) even with the weather throwing pretty much everything at us! Rain, eels stones, sleet, and even snow!! Fortunately, that never realy lasted long, and it was sunny most of the day with a very good wind (around 25km/h).
Richard took the opportunity to maiden his Quark (great color scheme in B&W!). What can I say... Launch, rolls, and off he went.. Though he had an issue with the radio, but no  (Video soon!)

The proof is in the pudding!
At the "LOWER!!!!" game, Ronan won! [-o< My bébé survived, and the proof is this piece of grass stuck in the rudder's control horn... And the grass is low in Mt Leinster!

Another great day!!
Monday : Off to the slope again, to be welcomed by 60km/h winds, 80 gust. Managed to break my ASW15 when at launch, the glider slipped away from Ronan's hands, and landed backward
Only a broken rudder and canopy (new one on its way already :D )
Got lucky on that one, as that was pretty stupid
Ralph flew his Wisper, but after about an hour of battling the wind, the wind finally won, and we all went back to the car park for a last cup of coffee / tea, and to say goodbye to Ralph and Les.
