Alright, managed to free myself for 5 minutes, and finished the page for the Quark on my website!

All here : http://www.gliderireland.net/index.php/slope-soaring-in-ireland/quarkepp

With the Plan in PDF for those who want to scratch build it  :D
I might post something on RCG if I have time, but this page, is basically a condensed version of the conversation we had on the forum.

Anyway, in the mean time, enjoy!  :D

Hi Fred, for me the Quark was sublime, it has all the pedigree of being one plane to have in the hanger !
The Quark has also a very smooth flying pattern , which would make it very good for a beginners plane , but you must reduce the control surface rates lol
For in your face aerobatics I think 35mph winds would make the Quark come alive !
In 10mph winds she is smooth and accurate and for me a very good travel of lift in the light winds.
Sorry for breaking the elevator rods, I forgot how to fly on mode 2 lol

  Sorry Bill, forgot to mention you for the photos! Did the page really quick    I'll update that later.
And thanks for the shots!

Thanks Richard for the comments! Really appreciated, especially from a World Class Indoor Aerobat pilot!

Really pleased with the model, one or two things to change (elevator pushrod and more carbone in the wings), and that will be almost perfect  :D

Well I enjoyed flying the quark so much that i went straight home and got stuck into finishing the minitoons!
Nearly there now. have to buy some tape tomorrow and she is ready.
A few little adjustments and you have a really fun machine that flies very well Fred and you can try whatever stunt you want case there's not a lot to break.
Good stuff!

Hi Joe , you will be passing the Sperrins/Sleive Gallion on your way to the North Coast, or if the North winds are howling then we could all meet up at Andrews and head to Benevena on the Coast.
Have you a spare mini Toon ?
Please PM me as I need some fun.

Richard

Finally got the minitoons ready to fly. not finished, but flyable. had no glass tape which i got but only one small roll. enough to do the wings but not the fuse. hope to try it tomorrow if the cliff down the road is working.

Happy Days

It’s certainly looking very smart Joe,  lets hope it performs according to spec. How have you secured the wings to the fuse? :?:

I’ve a feeling the winds are going to be a little too northerly for your sand dunes tomorrow. :(  Fancy a whiz over to the Big L.? :)
