Thank you  Richard, N.I. hospitality is world renown so I know I’d feel at home.  :D

As for your ‘3 degrees’ that’s a bit worry. :?  There was a female pop group called that many years ago. I’m wondering if you and your ‘friends’ were going to dress up in drag and try to pass yourselves off as them! :P  (Somewhere on this forum I’ve seen a picture of you all wearing women’s wigs! )

The 27th is my burpday (Birthday, for the un-initiated to my childish use of language) and I’m pretty sure that “ ’er in doors”  is arranging something for me. (It’s supposed to be a surprise, but like most women she’s very ‘transparent’ and I’ve been seeing this coming for months.)
But I fully intend to make at least one trip up north. I really want to fly off of …………..er I can’t remember it‘s name, ….. you showed a picture of it in a post last year……really steep, high hillside with smooth grassland on top,……I’m sure it’s near Andy. My brain’s obviously going soft  ,…..I’ll remember it’s name one day! But I want to fly ‘there’ on a north westerly.

BTW have you finished painting your house yet? so that you can get on with the serious aspects of life, like flying model aircraft!

Right, I’m off to bed to catch up on some zzzzzzzzzzz’s

Hi Keith, the place you referr to is Binevenagh, after flying Rathlin we will most likely fly Binevenagh on the Sunday, its only a few miles from were we stay,

VIEW OF
Foibhne’s peak

this is a north plus west and south facing flying area, believe it or not this is an extended part of the giants causeway and runs from Castlerock up into the Sperrins were we also fly, in the foto is the cliff section and also there are  grass slopes lower down the road.

As for the 3 degrees, sure Mr.Keith we are celts and many a year ago we wore kilts

This week should see the bathroom and upstairs completed, I have to take a break from renovating as I need to get back to flying and do some work for Lithuania trip in a fortnight, then next project is to build and extention on the back of the house and use it as a workshop, its not right storing planes in my bedroom as I am a very heavy snorer, the planes don't like it

I will try and source cheap accommadation for those who are travelling. I have a caravan in Castlerock but it fully booked, maybe JP could bring up his camper and park it up beside the van and we could give someone a cheap place to put down there head.
ANYWAY , we will deal with this at a later date.

Rathlin CANCELLED
« Reply #11 on: May 24, 2012, 22:23:18 PM »
Due to the easterly winds staying with us I have decided to cancel our trip to Rathlin. A BIG THANKS to Glen Millar for flying around Rathlin this evening trying to sort out an easterly site but it was to no avail.
Both JP and myself have decided to try Murlough Bay for some slope fun  :)
If it works out then this will be another site for us to fly.
Sunday we are planning to do some bungee launching of benone beach.
Bring your bucket and spade and lots of sun tan lotion as we are getting lovely sunshine  :D

What a view, that's Scotland in the background!

Next stop! Torr's Head.

flying off Downhill beach on Saturday evening.

The filip 600 on the bungee.

Richard in holiday mode!

As the wind dropped off we got out the floaters.

Even the dog enjoyed the gliding!

What a gooding looking fellow

Richard getting some running practice, chasing the parachute

Great weekend, thanks to all the pilots who turned out, see you all next year.

Looks like a cracking weekend, sory I missed it

I hear Murlough Bay was pretty turbulent. Any of the slopes you visited worth a return trip?
