Sorry, really busy these days / month / year  :!:  :( , A bit late on that one !

So, we are still going ahead for Mt Leinster, no crazy/noisy Frenchies this time !  :D
I'll post more information a bit later.

Hiya Ralph
Yeah guess we are still on. That date was put in as a TBC(to be confirmed) at the time. Like Fred I have been so busy this summer that it kinda went on the back burner.
Many of you lads into coming up??

And I'm going to be in the UK visiting Grandchildren.

Must find some excuse to fly at Mt. L.

We are thinking about going up on the sat and sunday, any takers?

I'll probably do either the Saturday or Sunday - which ever looks best weather wise.

I want to come, but Saturday morning I'm flying full-size at Kilkenny (unless they cancel again).  So I guess I can come across after that.  Maybe I should stay over Saturday?

Hello all. So looks like we have a good few coming next weekend. As well as your crew Ralph, we have Gerry Buckley and a couple from the Shannon  club coming on Sunday and a few of us on the east coast. Not a bad number. Lets keep the fingers crossed now for good weather. Will contact all and post here on Thursday with a forecast update. I am around all weekend so can and will fly Saturday and Sunday. Let us know your plans Ralph so we can meet up.

So I guess we just meet at Nine Stones carpark. This is the carpark in front of the gate that leads up to the transmitter. Looks like this will be the slope we will fly if the forecast is right. They are saying north winds at the moment. Hope they are right, as the north is probably the best slope. I will aim to be up there from about 10:30am Saturday and Sunday morning

For those that don't know here are the directions.

Firstly head for Bunclody.
Coming from the north (Carlow direction): Take the right just before entering Bunclody town centre. Sign-posted Mt Leinster (handy I know!) stay on that road for about 10km until you see a left turn sign-posted for Mt Leinster (very handy again) this will take you around the side of the bowl and up to the carpark at "Nine Stones"

Coming from the south (Enniscorthy direction): head through Bunclody town centre and after take the left signed for Mt Leinster then follow the above directions

Follow the road marked in green.

Weather update

So far, all looking not too bad !

Saturday big Northely wind  with possibilities of some small showers...Bring the heavy stuff ! And the N slope is certainly one of the best you can find ! Bring some plastic covers (canvas?) to be on the safe side if you have one...

Sunday, looks like a much better day, but lighter winds (Still Northerly  :D )
Bring some floaters, just in case, but the dynamic on the N slope is really good.

Sound like a good week end to me !  :D

I'll be at around 10.30 am in Kilmukridge to visit the campsite for next year Retroplane, if some of you want to join us to have a look...
Then, heading for the slope !  :D
