SB13 “evo”
« on: June 19, 2022, 20:08:13 PM »
New to me model!

Got that one in April, but only had time to look at it now.
This is a modified Graupner SB13! Wanted one for a long time, and finally, the opportunity arrived! Wing has a couple of cosmetic issues ( we can see the fiberglass pattern in some spots), but let’s say I got it at a price I could not refuse! 😁

Now, I call it “evo” because it is not a 100% original. I got it from Germany of course, from someone who knows SB13!

So, this one is a tad bigger, with flaps! Wings are foam with fiberglass and carbone. Everything else is the Graupner way.

Now waiting for the first flight, handy size to bring everywhere 😁

Thanks both :)

I could not remove R2 from the cockpit! Love it too much 💕😁

Model all setup, ready for the first flight when I come back from holidays :)

Had a lovely evening flying at Kilakee with Joe. I brought the SB13 for a test flight.
Plan was to do a quick launch… but we’ll, you know 😁😁

Heavy setup, as the plan was to do a trim launch, but off the wing went. Flew very very well in what seemed a not a lot of lift, so very pleased with it!
Just a tad of tweaking in the CofG and that one is a keeper! Can’t wait to go again on a proper day :)

Also had some great flying today at Kilakee but earlier in the afternoon. Very little wind but 25C and the air was thick and full of thermals. Rode some to great height. The PureRes was in its element!
