Hhmmm…..Just as a foot note, One 9 pin DB9 plug & socket from Maplin cost £2.49. Then they want to charge me £8.75 to despatch the darn thing!!! So the total cost would be £11.41 for something worth £2.49.

Does anyone on this forum regularly order stuff from Maplin?

IceWind:
Maplin? I'd rather burn notes out in the street.

Try Farnell.ie, I can't get it quite right but some things are shipped for free some don't.
I also use futurlec.com, it's a excellent shop with a fixed rate of shipping, it would be $5 for that part and the part woudl cost $0.50. But it's from Singapore so if time is a problem forget it as it takes some weeks.
I placed an order some days ago if I had seen this then I'd gladly get that for you. :(

Happy Days:
Fantastic Nando!

I’ve just placed the order with Futurlec. Total cost including shipping = $6.00 (€4.50)

Thank you very much for your help.

(If you ask me nicely, I might teach you to fly a slope soarer!  I’ve got a buddy box and plenty of models for you to try!!!)

Thanks, :D

Keith

Np, I'm glad I could be of help.
Their service is quite nice, you should receive an email with a postal tracking code, they do it for every single order.

Keep that in mind I may make you stick to your promise. :)
