SW corner - Mizen Head - dune

Hi,
Been there lots of times but never noticed the possibilities of a big dune.
It's at Barley Cove at the very end of the Mizen Peninsula.

Map from Google Earth

If you are down this way, just head SW from Skibbereen towards Crookhaven and follow the signs to Barley Cove.
There's a short walk from the car park, but it's easy on a boardwalk.
There's absolutely loads of space to land, grass and sand.

And there's a huge beach for the wife/kids to play on too.

My guess is it will only work in a southerly wind.
Haven't tried it yet, but will report a.s.a.p. when I do.

Ron

PS:
And a picture with people for scale:

Hi Sean,

Long time etc. etc...
No update I'm afraid.
Still trying to get back into flying, but looks like it will be quite a while yet.
I have a foam flying wing thing that just needs some batteries fitted, so maybe, just maybe, given one of those round tuit things, there will be an opportunity to give that slope a try.

Hope all well with you.
