hanger 9 cub
« on: October 31, 2010, 21:30:53 PM »
just bought a hanger 9 cub and i'm hoping to put a 30cc dle engine in it
will be able to tow up 2.5 to 3 metre gliders no problem and fingers crossed it'll be able to tow up to 4 metre gliders  :D
all i need now is a tug pilot

Hi Andrew,

Nice one! Was looking at the Hangar9 Piper for aerotowing too at some stage  :D

And not worries for 4m gliders, used to tow them with a 15cc!  :D
Education is important, but flying RC planes and gliders is importanter!

hi fred
we where using the hanger 9 pawnee with a lazer 100 in it and had great fun i was flying a cmpro 2.5m discus , it was able to pull up to 3metre's no bother at all
but sadly that tug pilot has moved on to other things now
and as i'm the only one flying gliders i have to supply my own tug :(

I was freezing in the garage, at least on top of a hill I'd have been having fun!

Hi Andrew

Looks great! I will have to try this aerotowing, I have the DG808 4m ready for towing, however I think I will try the first flight with the DR1000, to get used to flying behind the tug. I will need your help and guidance on how to manage this, I think a nice pint or two of the black stuff may be a good reward for the help    ha ha ha !
