My word, some quite stunning pictures there. :shock: (You like your multi passage shots don’t you) My favourite picture was #25. I think that was very good. :clap: ( I wish I could take pictures like that. :roll: )You had a fair range of flying conditions on your trip. Different slopes, different winds and you must have clocked up quite some flight times as well Sverrir. The only slope one you didn’t get a chance to fly was the West slope with the dreaded trees behind the landing area. They can make landing,…….er how to say this………..well, they can make landings “Challenging” in strong wind conditions. May be next time?( http://www.gliderireland.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1014&start=30 At 2.04 into the video you’ll see one of our novices trying to land on the west slope in testing conditions. :lol: The pilots’ name is Ger Buckley, from the west of Ireland. I call him a ‘novice’ because he’s only been flying about 30 years :wink: ) (God he’s gonna kick my arse when he next sees me! )So now you’ve flown off the Big L, I suppose we should all make the trip to Iceland and fly off of some of your (unpronounceable) slopes!Got any models you could loan us? :wink: …………..Thanks for posting the pictures Sverrir. Very Good Sverrir! :clap: By the way, solved the mystery of the fluttering (I call that "in flight incidence changing device") DG1000 elevator!The plastic screws I used are of the worse quality ever!The plastic is more like chewing gum, and the thread was not holding.I tried some proper screws, and no problems, even by pulling hard on the elevator!On a side note, Sverrir flew like this like nothing was happening! :clap:
